![]() Any thoughts on this would be appreciated too. Iâm careful to use components, minimize the number of materials (usually ~30 per model) and keep the geometries clean, so I assume itâs simply the way the SU for Mac is built. It doesnât sound like much, but over the course of a home model, it adds up. For example, clicking on a material to edit it takes a full few seconds to open. Iâve been using SU for 15+ years and think itâs great for what it is, but feel the way that it handles materials is especially ridiculous. My results on the Vray benchmark were right around the minute mark.Īside from Vray, SketchUP itself doesnât seem to benefit as much from the iMac Pro as much as Iâd expected either. I honestly donât know the disadvantage of the GPU w/CPU option over the pure GPU option in terms of render times. Iâve also dealt with quite a few crashes (hanging or crashing), but thatâs a different topic.įor rendering options I have CPU and GPU (w/C++), but Iâd love to hear thoughts on various settings I should/can play around with. Admittedly Iâm not blown away by the iMac, but Iâm also not too familiar with Vray and its settings. rtu and tell us if further assistance is needed.I have a base model iMac Pro and have been playing around with a trial version of Vray 3.6. On account is on this email, the second one, which you HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO, is tho.2.0 was awesome, what is going on with 3.6? didn't you fix all the bugs in 3.4?.You should have an answer via our ticketing system with an. Please help us so we dont have to fully migrate to octane or something at both offices. Error: .![]() AND I am forced to uninstall 2.0 on all versions of skup when installing 3.6.Why!.if I have a problem, like I am, I have to uninstall just to reinstall the old one, WTF.I am sure you have an excuse as to why you had to do that but seriously, if we found a way to land on the moon in the 60's i am sure you can find a way to allow us to keep two versions of Vray on two different versions of Sk up. Error Loading File C:/Program Files/Chaos Group/V-Ray/V-Ray for SketchUp/extension/ruby/init.rb. I have farted around with this crap for 4 days now.vray was working well after first install but I recently shut down all computers and rebooted and low and behold sk up is having a ton of problems.chaos group has cost us THOUSANDS in those 4 days as we have now missed 3 deadlines.furthermore these people wont get back to me when I email them from my work account.I have been waiting for 1.5 weeks for a response!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2.0 was great.3.6 is acting like a turd!.and it is bench marking way slower in all aspects. We can no longer fine tune many aspects of the software and or bounces for materials?!.in your simplifying of this software you have made it shittier. It seems like you are trying to be Enscape. 3 days ago! Additionally I had my rendering company just move over as well.Jesus fing Christ.this shit is crashing sk up at our architecture office, and at my rendering office sketchup now just sits on the spinning wheel and never fully opens. ![]() Ok.WTF.I watched your stupid video on vray 3.6 and had my whole office move over from 2.0 to 3.6. SketchUp 2017 and SketchUp 2018 are no longer supported Vision. I have also followed this link and confirmed both where installed on this machine. The minimum SketchUp version requirement is bumped to SketchUp 2019. I assume since i am on trial and haven't purchased yet. I have read that installing version 3.04 can resolve the issue but i do not see it for download on the website. Can you tell me when that should be? I have not been able to use the trial since I downloaded about a week ago and uninstalled V-Ray to avoid BugSplat issues opening SketchUp. I have read on your forums that this is a known issue and should be resolved in V-Ray 3.6.02. But I am having an issue loading V-Ray into SketchUp 2018. I would like to try out the trial version before purchasing as I will need to decide on a Render option soon.
